The Mugrabi Family

Published in this past weekend’s New York Times Magazine “Is Anybody Buying Art These Days?” presents a comprehensive look at a New York art dealing family. Father Jose Mugrabi, with sons Alberto and David, has amassed a staggering collection of contemporary art - including some 800 Warhol’s. They invest heavily in Hirst. They are, as they put it, “market makers.” A fascinating piece if you are interest in the dealings of the highest end of the art market.
