serpentine pavillion . london

Since 2000, the Serpentine Gallery has invited an architect (previously without English commission) to design a temporary pavilion on the grounds at Kensington Gardens, London. Zaha Hadid was first. She was followed by the likes of Koolhaus and Elliason. This year Japanese firm Sanna had the great privilege of designing the pavilion. Wallpaper* has produced a wonderful video putting the work in context and allowing those of us unable to visit London this summer a tour of the structure.
